Leaving Certificate Results 2011 |
Congratulations to the Leaving Certificate Class of 2011 on their excellent results. Once again this year the results continue the long tradition of academic excellence enjoyed by the Patrician Academy. The percentage of points attained was well above the national average. Top students , Nikhil Jacob and Peter Leahy, are now studeying in University College, Cork. Nikhil is studying Bio-Chemistry and Peter is studying Medicine. The vast majority of students got their first College choice. We wish them welll in their studies and in their future career.

Junior Certificate Results 2011
Congratulations to the Junior Certificate Class of 2011. All students performed extremely well and ten high achievers attained 5 As or more. The two top achievers were John Cosgrave and Killian Egan who each atained 8 As and 2 Bs.
Welcome
The Patrician Academy is an all boys secondary school located in the North Cork town of Mallow.
The school was established by the Catholic diocese of Cloyne OVER one hundred and thirty years ago with the purpose of providing education for the young boys of Mallow.
For most of its 'lifetime' the school was managed by the Patrician Brothers who left Mallow in 1994. The school is now managed by a Board of Management consisting of four Trustee representatives, two parents' representatives and two teachers' representatives.
The school has an enviable reputation for its academic excellence and its commitment to the fullest possible development of its students
While the Academy built its early reputation on academic excellence it has always readily embraced new ideas and subjects. Thus, in more recent times the school has achieved a reputation as a centre of excellence for education in Computer and Building Technologies.
The Academy is justly proud of its pupils who, over the years, have achieved at the highest levels in all walks of life all over the world (Check the PPU link).
Senior Cycle
The Senior Cycle aims to prepare students for progression to Third Level / Further Education and Training.
The curriculum is sufficiently broad to allow students to choose from a range of optional subjects which reflect their talents, abilities and career aspirations.
